What exactly is Afterburn?

Simply put, Afterburn is a small group fitness (HIIT) class held outdoors in Balboa Park. It's named after the "afterburn" theory which focuses on the increased post-workout caloric burn effect. The more consistent you are with attending class, the more efficient and effective your body becomes at burning extra calories during the 24-48 hours after each class - the "afterburn."

Plenty of equipment is impressive, but a minimalist (or "less is more") approach will still get the job done and help you generate a good amount of sweat!
