What exactly is Afterburn?

Afterburn is a small group fitness (HIIT) class held outdoors in the North Park corner of Balboa Park. The goal is to achieve the "afterburn effect" or the body's increased caloric burn for up to 48 hours after a HIIT workout. However, Afterburn is more than just a class... it's a small and cohesive community that thrives on small group energy with a coach who also does what he can to help students get a handle on their nutrition with as much (or as little) help as they want. Afterburn is redefining "small group fitness."
