What exactly is Afterburn?

Afterburn is a small, outdoor group fitness (HIIT) class held in Balboa Park adjacent to North Park. The "afterburn effect" is the research-backed, elevated caloric burn in the body for up to 48 hours after a HIIT workout. But our class is more than just a class... it's a small, welcoming community which thrives on small group energy, minimalism, and a coach who helps students (as much or as little as they want) to get a handle on their nutrition. Afterburn is redefining the value of "group fitness."
